History of S. Bernardo
1926
The Company S. Bernardo was founded as a limited company whose object is the bottling of mineral water in glass in various sizes with a plant in Garessio (CN) in the Maritime Alps.
1994
S.Bernardo entered the design world with a 75 cl "droplet" glass bottle for restaurants, featuring 88 embossed droplets. This elegant design was created by renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, a native of Garessio.
2011
Gruppo Montecristo acquires Fonte Ilaria – the Lucca based company producing carbonated drinks and mineral water also for private labels.
2012
Gruppo Montecristo acquires Fonti di Posina in Vicenza – a company operating in the mineral water market and specializing in the production of sterile beverages: particularly in the organic sector which constitutes 20% of its export turnover.
2015
In May 2015, ownership of S.Bernardo passed from the multinational Sanpellegrino-Nestlé to the Gruppo Montecristo becoming the key player among the company’s projects.
